Black Money, Undisclosed Foreign Income & Assets Law & Practice (1st Edition, 2026)

As amended by the Finance Act, 2026
by Dr Ravi Gupta, Dr Arun Ahuja
Categories: Income Tax
Publisher: Bharat Law House Pvt Ltd
About Book:

The law relating to undisclosed foreign income and assets has assumed considerable importance in the Indian tax landscape. With increasing global mobility of individuals, cross-border transactions, overseas investments, foreign bank accounts and ownership of assets outside India, the need for a clear and comprehensive understanding of the legal framework governing undisclosed foreign income and assets has become increasingly significant.

The Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015 was enacted with the objective of dealing specifically with undisclosed foreign income and assets and to provide for taxation of such income and assets, together with stringent provisions relating to assessment, penalty and prosecution. The legislation operates alongside the general provisions of the income-tax law and has created a distinct and important area of tax practice.

The present book, “Black Money, Undisclosed Foreign Income & Assets – Law & Practice”, has been conceived with the objective of providing a comprehensive and practical understanding of the law relating to undisclosed foreign income and assets. The book incorporates the amendments made by the Finance Act, 2026 and seeks to present the statutory provisions in a systematic, analytical and practice-oriented manner.
