Land Law is a compulsory subject at LL.B. level, both three/five years course. It is, therefore, necessary for the students to understand the niceties of the development related to Land reform, Land Acquisition, Urban Real Estate Development Laws and the Provisions of the Rent Laws under the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958. In the present work an effort has been made to explain the same section wise in a simple and extensive way with important case laws, and at the same time due care has also been taken in providing information on the most recent developments/ judgements.
Dr. Shaveta Gagneja is serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at Maharaja Agrasen School of Law Affiliated to I.P University New Delhi. Before joining Maharaja Agrasen School of Law, she had been an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi for over 10 Years. She has a total experience of more than 16 years and teaches Family Law, Property Law, Land Law, Administrative Law & Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADRs). Her qualification includes Ph.D in ‘Victim Compensation’ (2010) from Punjabi University Patiala, LL.M, LL.B. and General Online Course “Children Human Rights-An Interdisciplinary Introduction” from University of Geneva and have published number of articles in national and international Journal. She has been invited for various conferences and Seminars as Resource Person and presented Paper in many International and National conferences and seminars.
