Law- Medico Immersion: Issues and Challenges

by Shefali Raizada
Medico-legal
Categories: Other Laws
Publisher: Wolters Kluwer
About Book:

This book law-medico immersion: issues and challenges deals with all those dichotomies at length. "Medico-legal" Is the term, which incorporates the basics of two sister professions I.E. Medicine and law. Law has taken scientific and technological advancement in grooming its age-old administration system and at the same time, technology has got a pertinent protection from getting misused by virtue of co-acting with law. The interrelation of law and medical science has been the centre of many deliberations. There hasn’t been technical expansion only in the field of medicine between the two, law, also, has modified itself to walk pace to pace with the science influenced times in order to better the administration of justice. Medical science, particularly within the last few decades, has drawn more close to law for considerable reasons. With the increasing and intimate participation of medical science in the lives of the people it has become pertinent for law to involve itself to guard the liberties and rights of the people. Certain provisions of law, for instance consent, are highly regarded but which sometimes in the medical field, due to reasonable concern, have to be done away with. Situations where the conflict between these fields is prominent are in abundance; hence, the law must be skilfully crafted to respect the interests of all involved.
